HOW TO SCORE STRAIGHT A+ IN SPM

   Hey guys ... hi there...My name is Vaenusha and I am here to share some of the tips and tricks to score in SPM. I will be also sharing some of the materials I used in this post that would be extremely useful to nail your examination. 

~INTRO~

I am Vaenusha Murugan. I just finished my PRE-U in Malacca Matriculation College with a 4.0 PNGK in the first semester. I sat for SPM in the year 2021(batch 2020). I managed to score 10A+, and 1A in SPM. Overall I took 11 subjects for my SPM and I was a science stream student. Currently, I am waiting for my UPU to enter UM under medicine. I am super excited to share all the tips with you all. Thereby, please use all the tips wisely and I can guarantee you would be able to score flying colors in your finals. 

~TIPS & TRICKS~

1. BE CONSISTENT

* It is super essential to be consistent. Practice non-stop to get the hang of it. For instance, once you have completed a subtopic in biology, close the book and find practice questions and attempt it. it doesn't matter if it is wrong. the most prominent part of this method is to LEARN FROM MISTAKES. 

2. BE PERSISTENT

* This is another crucial aspect of your study life. You have to be disciplined enough to wake up early in the morning, revise materials, attempt PYQ, and so on. Never procrastinate because as we know procrastination is the key to the thief. Hence, be determined till the end of the journey. Don't focus on your goals instead focus on the systems that lead to your goals. POV, try to read ATOMIC HABITS by James Clear if you are unsure about the last statement. 

3. TRICKS THAT NONE SHARES

*Trust me. No one tells you this because there are no proven results for this method. 

i) compile all the SBP and MRSM questions. Practice using these 2 materials. It's hard but it's worth it.

ii) doing PYQ of the previous year is just fine. FYI I just attempted PYQ 2019 and 2018 for all the subjects. I did these both years twice. One before my trials( to know the format) another a week before SPM(to boost my confidence level)

iii) THIS IS A MUST. Attempt all the states' trials paper. you will not believe it until you experience it during SPM. Trust me. It happened to me. I did all the state's trial papers from the year 2016-2020 for subjects like BM, BI, MT, and BT and from the year 2012-2019 for ADD MATHS, PHY, CHEMISTRY, and BIO. Though the questions varied in the format I still attempted it because it was challenging. I am also well aware that the syllabus is different for you guys now, however, there's no harm in trying the subjective questions, especially for additional maths. I could only manage to score an A+ in add maths only because of those trial papers. 

iv) ACTIVE RECALLING. Do not revise the same material again and again. Instead, do more set questions. Practice active recalling for subjects like SEJARAH. It is definitely hard to remember what you read a week ago. Nevertheless, when you keep on recalling the materials weekly, eventually it will be doable. Do not cram a day before your test. DO IT NOW.

4. SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF REST.

 There's no harm in taking breaks. sometimes your mind just needs to relax in order to work more efficiently. It has been shown that short, repeated sessions of learning with breaks increase your concentration and facilitate the memorization of new content. The Pomodoro Technique can be an excellent way to study during productive intervals and rest during breaks. here is the link to my youtube channel.
